This is like the Blanc de Serè but aged in oak with lees from fermentation in barrels.
It is a delicate wine, with no jarring elements, but with the character of the Macabeo: fresh and smooth at the same time, with just the right touch of oak.
We call this white wine "Blanc de Marges" since its main ingredient is Parellada, a hillside variety. We mix it with other varieties, including some with floral touches.
It is 100% Macabeo but with residual sugar, inspired by an old wine from this area.
This name reminds us of the Catalan word for the hoes we still often use when we go out into the field, though it's also the name of an old town near the former barony of Vallbona. It is our Chardonnay.
A subtle yellow in colour, flecked with green tints. On the nose it's complex with aromas of tropical fruit, citrus (orange peel), green tea, dough buns and toasted notes.
